Recidivism

Definition: Number of individuals² with a conviction of a new crime, resulting in a sentence of incarceration within two years after they graduate the ATI program

Type of conviction charge:

a)      Misdemeanor

b)      Felony

c)      Violent felony

Rate Calculation: Number of individuals who recidivate (per definition)/ Successful program completions

Note:

1. Recidivism data should only be collected on programs that are 6 months or longer
   • Only those who have completed the program successfully are included in the calculation
